RunACT Junior – Parkrun Challenge

In 2022, as an additional offering to our RunACT Junior offerings, Little Athletics ACT are conducting a winter Challenge series, utilising all of our local parkruns!

The mission of this Challenge is to encourages our members to keep active during the winter months, to compliment our Cross Country Series which consists of 3x Cross Country Events, 2x Cross Country Clinics and our ACT Cross Country Championship.

Please note that Little Athletics ACT is in no way affiliated with parkrun.

The rules are as follows:

  • The points score period if from Saturday 30 April until Saturday 27 August
  • Runners must be;

1) Members of Little Athletics ACT

2) Future prospective members of Little Athletics ACT

3) Parents/carers of runners who fall into either category above

Note: runners over the age of U17s won’t be eligible for awards, however are still encouraged to set their club to Little Athletics ACT and may be featured in write-ups and promotion of this Challenge

  • Runners must be registered with parkrun. To register with parkrun click here. For instructions to assist in registering with parkrun click here
  • Runners must select ‘Little Athletics ACT’ as their nominated club for identification purposes. For instructions for how to add this to your parkun profile click here
  • The results of all ACT and region based parkruns (view list below), will be checked weekly to identify Little Athletics ACT competitors
  • Runners must complete events using their own barcode. ‘Unknown’ results cannot be claimed
  • Runners must complete a minimum of six events within the points score season
  • Individual Awards will be presented at the beginning of the Little Athletics ACT Summer Season in the following categories; Most parkruns completed, most different parkrun locations completed, best social media post (Little Athletics ACT must be tagged to be considered), Highest age grade percentage and spot prizes (every run you do goes into the draw and gives you more chances to win!)
  • Centre recognition will take place on both social media and in email correspondence and will focus on the participation numbers of their Centre members, including parents/carers
  • There is no cost to be involved in the RunACT Junior – Parkrun Challenge
