Published Mon 19 Aug 2024

Capital Athletics is excited to announce the 2024/25 Summer Calendar.

Starting off with the first of 12 Summer Series meets at Woden Athletics Track on the 12th of October. We look at the first half of the Season with 6 total summer series before Christmas our 10k and 3k Championships included in Summer Series #3 and #5. Finishing off the year will be the Combined Event Championships at Woden in December.

We will be Back on the track from the 11th of January with Summer Series #7 with our Mile Championships added in. Then it will be time for our Capital Athletics Open & U20 Championships, which over the past few years has grown to one of the biggest competitions outside Australian champs. We will see some of Australia’s best athletes travel from all over Australia to come compete at the AIS. Where last season, we saw Torrie Lewis break the Australian 100m Women’s record held by Canberra’s own Melissa Breen.

In February it is our underage’s time to shine. This year we will be combining the age groups u9-u13 to our u14-u18 competition to have one full weekend of athletics.

March will hold our last 4 Summer Series competition leading us into the Australian Junior and Senior Athletics Championships held in Perth on the 5th-13th of April.
